Privacy policy and disclaimer
What this site does with your data, and the limits of what it tells you about tax.
This policy describes how the site actually behaves, not how we would like it to. TaxGamma is a static website: there is no account system, no database and no server-side code. If any of that changes, this page changes first and the change is dated at the bottom.
The calculators
The GST calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us, not stored, and not logged. Close the tab and they are gone. We can say this plainly because it is a property of how the calculators are built, not a promise about how we behave.
What we collect
Very little, and none of it by choice. Here is the complete list.
- Analytics. None. This site runs no analytics product — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmaps, no third-party tags of any kind. No script on this site contacts any external server. If we add analytics later, we will name the tool here before it goes live.
- Server logs. Standard web server logs, which may include IP address, browser, and pages requested, retained for security and diagnostics. These are generated by our hosting provider rather than by us, are retained by them for a limited period for security and diagnostics, and are not used to build any profile of you.
- Email. If you write to us, we hold that correspondence in order to reply to it.
- Cookies. None. This site sets no cookies at all, first-party or third-party. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Nothing is written to local storage or session storage either.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not accept payment for coverage on rate pages.
- We do not store anything you type into a calculator.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, to have it corrected, and to have it erased.
In practice the only personal data we hold is email correspondence you have chosen to send us. To see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, write to hello@taxgamma.com from the address in question and we will action it. There is no form to fill in and no account to close.
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you comparable rights, and the same address reaches us. Because the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, there is no tracking data attached to you to request in the first place.
Disclaimer
Everything on this site is general information about published GST rates. It is not tax advice, and it does not create a professional relationship between you and TaxGamma or between you and any professional who reviews content for us.
GST rates change through notification, sometimes at short notice. Every rate page carries the date its rate was last verified, and that date is the honest measure of how much the page can be trusted. A page verified months ago may no longer be current.
More importantly, GST frequently turns on facts a general page cannot know. Whether a supply is composite or mixed, whether a hotel counts as specified premises, whether a contract is pure labour or a works contract, whether input tax credit is blocked by Section 17(5) in your particular circumstances: these decide the outcome, and they depend on your paperwork rather than on a category name. Applying a rate from this site to a transaction without checking those facts is the most likely way to get it wrong.
For any transaction with money attached, confirm the position with a qualified professional who can see your specific facts. We accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of these pages.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the change will be dated here.
